A symbol of the architectural, historical and heritage legacy of Manaus, the Universal Paviliona unique iron building from the Belle Époque, will be delivered revitalized, refurbished, and with new service within the program for the 350th anniversary of the capital.
The inauguration of the space, which will be a Tourist Assistance Center (CAT)managed by the Municipal Foundation of Culture, Tourism and Events (Manauscult), returns to manauaras the restoration of this important monument, rescuing existing elements in the building in 1975, when the structure of the Pavilion was deployed at Tenreiro Aranha square. Today, the building is installed at the Adalberto Vale square, composing the same architectural complex.
The iron building receives the last finishing services, painting, and placement of glass pieces, lighting fixtures, chinaware, and furniture. The project was approved by the Institute for National Historic and Artistic Heritage (Iphan).
One of the details of the restoration is that all the metal parts are the originals. They were disassembled, treated, and reassembled at the new address. The fish scale roof was remade from a model found.
