Constantino Nery Terminal (T1) will be interdicted for revitalization

Users of public transport that use the terminal will be able to board and alight from the lines through the parallel lane to the terminal.

From dawn on Saturday, January 27th, until the following Sunday night, the Constantino Nery Integration Terminal (T1), South zone, will need to be interdicted for the continuation of revitalization services performed by the Manaus City Hall. Altogether, will be 48 hours of uninterrupted implementation of improvements in space, which returns to regular operation on Monday, 29/1.

"This is an emergency work that is being carried out to provide more comfort for those who use the terminal, while the BRT system is not fully installed. Very soon we will launch the call for companies to implement the new modal, which will transform T1 into a beautiful and modern station. It will be good for the workers, for the users, visitors and for the whole city", said the mayor Arthur Virgílio Neto, who at dawn on Tuesday, January 23rd, was monitoring the cleaning service of the space.

According to the deputy mayor and municipal secretary of Infrastructure (Seminf), Marcos Rotta, this stage of the redevelopment of T1, will be reformed three thousand square meters of sidewalk, waiting for the curing of the concrete to perform the painting.

Users of public transport that use the Constantino terminal will be able to board and alight from the lines through the parallel lane to the terminal, towards the Center. The Temporary Integration (for a period of two hours) can be done at any stop of the system, from Epaminondas Avenue. To return from the Center to the neighborhoods, the bus lines will follow the route of Avenida Leonardo Malcher / Ferreira Pena / Ayrão / Constantino Nery.

During the renovation services, the street vendors occupying T1 will be relocated to the terminal lane, which will be closed. "It is a temporary action so that the city can humanize the space, providing better conditions for the work environment and for the population," explained Fabio Albuquerque, municipal undersecretary of Supply, Fairs and Markets (Subsempab).

General cleaning

The structural and visual recovery process of the Constantino Nery Integration Terminal began about a week ago with the washing services. In the early morning of Tuesday, January 23rd, the cleaning proceeded to the covering and removal of tarpaulins and other materials. The action involves workers from the Municipal Department of Urban Cleaning (Semulsp) who, with the help of mops, tankers and blasters, are removing the accumulation of residue on the roof, rescuing the original blue.

Among the future actions, it is planned to remodel the benches, the eight bathrooms, painting, and changing the terminal's lighting, which will gain LEDs.
