The Amazonas Shopping opened the first restaurant of Alameda Gourmet, the Torino Tratoria. The new space in the shopping center has renowned restaurants specialized in national and international gastronomy. In addition to Torino, Tio Armenio and Toreador Steak House restaurants will also operate there, and are expected to open in early 2020.
With capacity for up to 176 people, the Torino Tratoria offers a traditional pasta menu, in addition to dishes selected especially for the Amazonas Shopping restaurant, such as black rice with seafood and the team's own creations. With the idea of presenting options of traditional dishes and adaptations with contemporary touches, the restaurant works with imported pasta.
To accompany the menu, the clients have a select wine list available, with national and imported labels. All of them are stored in the cellar installed on site. The restaurant also offers Brahma draft beer.
Torino Tratoria is open for lunch and dinner. At lunch it has executive dishes with pasta, salads, and meats, in addition to the menu options. At night, the restaurant offers pizza and pasta and also promotes musical shows with different rhythms.
Concept
Entrepreneur Rodrigo Bastos explains that, in terms of cuisine, Torino brings a simple but sophisticated concept, with options to please the whole family. "We are very happy with the result. I believe that the restaurant will be a new meeting point for families and friends, because everything was thought out and prepared to the smallest detail, from the menu to the environment," he said.
The Torino Tratoria in Amazonas Shopping is generating 44 direct jobs in the customer service and kitchen areas.
Project
With a traditional architecture, Torino Tratoria has a rustic style that reminds us of Italian cantinas. The floor of the external area was especially chosen to remind us of the sidewalks in Italy, a country that is known worldwide for its pasta. Inside the restaurant the intention is to make the customers feel as if they were in the houses of the Italian villages, with large windows and flower boxes.
Complementing the beauty of the place, in the back of the space a kind of basement was recreated, which also refers to the culture of the country that inspired the restaurant. "We wanted to create a cozy environment, so that people can keep, in their memory, special moments to be spent there, in the company of friends and family," he said.
