The vacations are coming to an end, but there is still time for the kids to have fun at the attraction "Makers Imagining the Futureattraction at Millennium Shopping. Until January 28, from 10am to 7pm, those who visit the shopping center can participate in exhibitions, workshops, and educational activities, through educational robotics and maker culture: building and programming robots and inventions with hands-on.

"The event has been a great success among visitors, not only for children who are technology fans, but for the whole family. Among the activities there are even challenges between parents and children", comments the Millennium Shopping Marketing Coordinator, Elizandra Xavier.

During the program, children aged 4 and 5 can have fun at the assembly table, which has LEGO® Education pieces, as well as challenges for parents and children.

Children over 6 years old will have a space for assemblies with initiation to programming of robots and mechanisms with robotics challenges and the new STEM program of FIRST ® LEGO ® League Jr. with the theme Boomtown Build of the 2019/2020 season, as well as Maker workshops with BBC micro:bit, which is a small programmable board that inspires digital creativity, teaches the basics of programming and enables the realization of endless inventions.

According to ControlBot director Tiago Cauassa, "Makers Imagining the Future" is a celebration of knowledge. "We are bringing for the first time FIRST ® LEGO ® League Jr. to the northern region, a newcomer program to Brazil that encourages children ages 6 to 10 to explore and build through robotics. Those who attend the event will be able to experience a little of what FIRST® LEGO® League Jr. and register your school or enter a team in the event that should take place in mid-April and May," he says.
