Brazil's largest sustainability festival takes place on July 28 and 29.
Considered the largest sustainability festival in Brazil, the Manaus Sustainable Turn will occupy more than 20 points of the city, 28 and July 29, with hundreds of cultural, ecological, health and leisure actions for free to the population. The complete program can be checked on the site: viradasustentavel.org.br/manaus.
The mobilization is already in its fourth edition and is promoted by the Amazonas Sustainable Foundation (FAS), in partnership with more than 40 civil society organizations. The proposal is to increase the population's engagement and encourage sustainable practices, using playful and inspiring activities as a tool.
In the list of spaces that will receive the actions, there are new ones such as the Banana and São José 2 fairs, besides the bus terminals 3 and 5. According to the festival coordinator, Paula Gabriel, the goal is to occupy points in the city with large circulation of people. "We will bring Virada Sustentável closer to the population that doesn't know the festival and that will be able to access the activities by visiting these spaces", she explains.
