Inspectors were in 49 means of accommodation in the capital and notified 34 for not having a registration with the Ministry of Tourism.
It was the turn of the capital of Amazonas to receive the inspectors from the Ministry of Tourism to inspect its means of accommodation. The action is part of the operation Legal Summer 2018 and seeks to inspect establishments that are without the mandatory registration with MTur and, consequently, in disagreement with the Tourism Law. During the action, which ended on Thursday (29), the agents visited 49 sites and notified 34 of them. The number corresponds to 69% of the visited providers.
In addition, 15 terms of inspection were issued, representing the visit of the inspectors in places that are already closed or that have changed their CNPJ. The objective of the inspection is to make the tourism service providers aware of the importance of being regularized with the maximum tourism body in Brazil, which is the MTur. Besides bringing a series of advantages to the worker in the area, such as access to financing in official government banks and free qualification courses offered by the ministry, the regular provider also shows to his client that he is regularized.
"We are pleased with the work that has been done by the inspection and also with the support of the sector, which has understood the importance of keeping its establishment formalized with the Ministry of Tourism. In addition to being able to count on lines of credit and qualification courses from the Pasta, the enterprise benefits by passing on even more confidence to its customers," explains Larissa Peixoto, MTur's inspection coordinator.
Since it began in September 2017, the operation has been in 19 cities: Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, Boa Vista, Maceió, João Pessoa, Palmas, Aracaju, Teresina, Fortaleza, Vitória, São Luís, Cuiabá, Goiânia, Belo Horizonte, Campo Grande, Natal, Recife, Salvador and Rio Branco. By April of this year, the inspectors will have visited the other Brazilian capitals.
