Vila Olímpica de Manaus is a large-scale sports center. The complex covers more than 228,000 square meters of total area. It opened on March 25, 1990, so the space has supported Amazonian sports for decades.
Infrastructure and Athletics
The site features a modern track. The structure uses 6,000 cubic meters of compacted gravel and granite, while the final coating consists of Sportflex to ensure technical quality.
Sports courts are available. The complex houses four courts, including a sand court honoring names such as Waldemar Baia Soares and Danilo José Sobral Peres Junior.
Complexes and Modalities
The center serves various modalities. There are dedicated areas for boxing, gymnastics, and table tennis, which uses official equipment left from the Rio 2016 Olympics legacy.
The pool is Olympic-sized. The structure measures 25.00m by 50.00m with a two-meter depth, although the construction utilizes pre-molded stainless steel technology for greater durability.
