Manaus is presented as a tourist destination at an international event in Spain

The project seeks to promote the Amazon capital and its tourist events. Besides the natural and cultural attractions, it also promotes other tourism segments, such as sport fishing and river cruises

A tourism project of the Manaus City Hall, which includes the city's attractive potential, is on display at the 40th International Tourism Fair of Madrid (Fitur)in Spain, which started on Wednesday, January 22nd, and goes on until next Sunday, January 26th, with an estimated public of 250 thousand people. With an intense international movement, the event starts the world's calendar of tourism sector fairs.

Fitur is a global meeting point for professionals of the sector, which inaugurates the international circuit of promotion events linked to the world of travel. In addition to being a business tool to favor and boost commercial agreements and contacts, the fair deserves a visit from the general public, who can find the ideal destination to enjoy during their vacations.

The capital of Amazonas is part of the stand of the Brazilian Institute of Tourism (Embratur) exhibiting the project "Manaus: the Brazil that you can only find herepresented by the Director of Tourism of the Municipal Foundation of Culture, Tourism and Events (Manauscult), João Araújo.

Started in 2017, the project seeks to promote the capital of Amazonas and its tourist events, highlighting the three major festivals promoted by the city government: the Passo a Paço integrated arts festival of the Amazon, Boi Manaus and New Year's Eve. Besides the natural and cultural attractions, the project also promotes other tourism segments, such as sport fishing and river cruises.

Fitur

The main driving axes of the Madrid International Tourism Fair are sustainability, technology, and specialization, which add to the actions oriented to professional growth, representativeness, and internationalization.

Among other destinations, Brazil stands out for attributes related to nature and cultural expressions, such as dance, music, and soccer.
