Palácio Rio Negro hosts the Movimento Sem Terra photographic exhibition. This show features 15 works by photographer Sebastião Salgado. These black and white photographs document the daily lives of rural workers between 1980 and 1990, a period when the artist followed social struggles in Brazil.
About the Exhibition
Entry is free. The images belong to the Pinacoteca do Estado collection, allowing the public to appreciate this documentary work at no cost. Bulgarian photographer Roumen Koynov curated the exhibition.
Salgado is a world-renowned award winner. Born in Aimorés, Minas Gerais, in 1944, the artist built a career recognized for portraying the human condition across many different countries.
